There are six “crus” (also referred to as terroirs) that comprise the official Cognac AOC (Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée). Delamain only sources eaux-de-vie, the building blocks of cognac, from the finest of these distinct crus: Grande Champagne.

In this remarkable, chaly soil of this illustrious terroir, grapes flourish fully. They yield eaux-de-vie that are elegant and complex, with great finesse and elevated aromatic intensity.

For the ageing of its remarkable eaux-de-vie, Delamain offers them suitable settings: its own centuries-old cellars on the banks of the Charente.

The identity of each one, as well as its specific hygrometric conditions, make their singular marks on the future cognacs of the Maison…
